President
Vaz is a 4th year aerospace student who joined the society as a 1st year student in 2013. Winning 2nd place in the Merlin IT Flies US competition in April 2015 and leading the society to success last year at the competitions, Vaz is now the President of the society. Further to this, he is also a PASS Flight Simulation Leader and outside of university, is an active Private Pilots Licence (PPL) Holder.
IT Flies - Chief Engineer
Tomas joined the society as a 1st year student in 2014 and quickly became an active member. Last year, together with Patricia Ferrer-Dalmau Font, he designed a Forward Swept Wing Fighter for the IT FLIES USA competition, where their model secured 1st place. As well as being a co-editor of this website, Tomas has found his passion in Aeromodelling and photography. In the upcoming year, he will be overseeing IT Flies.
Project Phoenix - Chief Engineer
Dariusz joined the society in 2015. A keen flight simulation user, Dariusz has recently been making his own add-on scenery in an attempt to make the experience even more realistic. He enjoys working with and maintaining the powerful machines that the society uses to run its simulators. If not sat in front of a computer screen, Dariusz may be flying his drones or firing up his model jet engine.
Project Phoenix - Chief Engineer
Adelina has been with the society since 2014. In the past, working on her own aircraft models for the IT FLIES UK competition and a being an active member of Project Phoenix, this year Adelina is taking the position of Chief Engineer.
IT Flies - Project Manager
Ciaras joined the society in 2014. During 2014/2015 he was part of a team designing a light aircraft for the UK competition. Last year, as Social Secretary, Ciaras was in charge of organising trips to businesses and projects associated with the society, as well as organising other social events. In his third year in the society, Ciaras has taken up the position of IT Flies Project Manager.
General Secretary
Antonella joined the society in 2014 and designed an aircraft for the UK 'IT Flies Competition' with her team. In her second year in the society, Antonella took up the role of treasurer, managing the society's finances and budgets, while looking for sponsors for the society. Antonella starts her third year in the society as its General Secretary.
Treasurer
Kavin has been part of IT Flies since his first year as an Aerospace Engineering Student. He has worked on business jets and hybrid airliners. He has entered the IT Flies competition and won most innovative design and 2nd Best presentation along with his team. He has also supervised first years on their projects and have experience on supersonic, light aircrafts and cargo aircraft.
Social Secretary
Charlie joined the society as a first year student working on an aircraft model for the IT FLIES UK competition. This year he is looking forward to developing a new model to take to the US competition as well as taking the responsibility of managing the position of Social Secretary in the society.
Website Developer & PASS coordinator
Daniel is a second year Aerospace engineering student who joined FSSoc in 2015 and currently manages the society's website. Last year, he worked with Seiya, Kavin and Charly to develop a private jet model, and was responsible for developing the CAD presentation model for the aircraft. Daniel also assists with the collaboration of FSSoc and PASS, teaching first years about the basics of flight dynamics and stability and simulator use.
